DAY #1

The first two photos were taken in the Governor's office. In the last one you can see me nears the Flags in Rotunda. This Rotunda represents the nations and states that have claimed all the portions of Kansas.

The Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon(FAUL), in partnership with the MUDE- Museum of Design and Fashion, celebrates the "22 anos de Design na FAUL” (22 years of Design in FAUL) exhibition. Commemorates the excellence of national Design and public university, the higher education and the excellent work performed by licensed, masters and doctors in various areas of Design over 22 years history of FAUL. This is an exhibition that shares the quality of academic development, creative maturity and success of all professionals that FAUL launches every year on the market and the key role of design in society.   A Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade de Lisboa, em parceria com o MUDE-Museu de Design e da Moda, a exposição “22 anos de Design na FAUL” celebram a excelência do Design nacional e do ensino superior público universitário eo  excelente trabalho desenvolvido  pelos licenciados, mestres e doutores, em diversas áreas de Design, ao longo de 22 anos de história da FAUL. Trata-se de uma exposição que partilha a qualidade da formação académica, o amadurecimento criativo e sucesso de todos os profissionais que a FAUL lança todos os anos no mercado e o papel fulcral do Design na sociedade.

Como referi neste POST, no início de Julho passei alguns dias em Cascais. Aqui estão as fotografias da minha estadia no Hotel Cidadela, todas elas da minha autoria à excepção da última.

Este é um hotel um pouco antigo, mas com condições excelentes, assim como o seu atendimento. Os empregados são super simpáticos tal como os outros hóspedes. Este é sem dúvida um sítio que vocês deveriam de visitar.

As I mentioned in this POST at the beginning of July I spent a few days in Cascais. Here are the photos of my stay at Cidadela Hotel they are all of my own except the last.

This hotel isn’t recent but has excellent conditions as well theirs service. The employees are super friendly as the other guests. This is definitely a place that you should stay.

Eu decidi não falar sobre o editorial da FHM (que está fantástico) mas sim sobre o modelo. Luís Borges tem 23 anos e é um dos modelos nacionais mais requisitados no estrangeiro. Já trabalho com marcas como Tommy Hilfiger, Japan Rags, Tom Ford, United Colors of Benetton, Paul Smith, Etro, Salvatore Ferragamo, John Varvatos, Kenzo, Iceberg, General Idea, Y-3, Richard Chai, Choon, Kris Van Assche, DKNY, Yves Saint Laurent, Hermés, Costume National, Neil Barrett, Custo Barcelona, Dior Homme, Paul Smith, Miharayasuhiro, Wooyoungmi, entre outros.

I decided not to talk about editorial FHM (which is fantastic) but about the model.

Luis Borges has 23 years and is one of the most sought-after national models abroad. He worked with brands such as  Tommy Hilfiger, Japan Rags, Tom Ford, United Colors of Benetton, Paul Smith, Etro, Salvatore Ferragamo, John Varvatos, Kenzo, Iceberg, General Idea, Y-3, Richard Chai, Choon, Kris Van Assche, DKNY, Yves Saint Laurent, Hermés, Costume National, Neil Barrett, Custo Barcelona, Dior Homme, Paul Smith, Miharayasuhiro, Wooyoungmi, etc.

O manequim da Central Model foi três vezes nomeado para o Melhor Modelo Masculino para os Globos de Ouro, sendo vencedor deste prémio na primeira edição dos Fashion Awards Portugal , em 2011.

The mannequin of Central Model was three times nominated for the Best Male Model for the Golden Globes, and he won this award in the first edition of the Fashion Awards Portugal in 2011.

À parte da sua carreira admiro muito o Luís Borges. A forma como iniciou a sua carreira, o seu percurso, a forma como se expõe para o Mundo sem preconceitos, a vida, o romance, etc. Sigo algumas entrevistas do manequim e sempre que tenho oportunidade consulto o seu facebook pessoal e mesmo não o conhecendo como pessoa o Luís demonstra ser uma pessoa cheia de personalidade e não um modelo reducionista.  

Aside his career I admire Luis Borges. The way he began his career, his journey, the way he exposes himself to the world without prejudice, his life, the romance, etc. I follow some interviews and whenever I have the opportunity I consult his personal facebook and even not knowing him in person, Luis proves to be a person full of personality and not a reductionist model.
