4th OF JULY CELEBRATIONS | USA TRIP JOURNAL - DAY# 2
21.7.15
DAY # 2
From night to day light!
At the second day in Kansas State, I met my student mentor: the student that is guiding
me and three more European students in Manhattan,
Kansas. She took us to a party which her dad was hosting. It was on the 3rd of July, the day before America's Birthday. The party was
hosted as part of the 4th of July
celebrations. There were around 50
people and all of them seemed friendly and warm from the very start.
We stood at the party until around 11 pm
and we all had the opportunity to watch a terrific firework show.
No meu
Segundo dia, no Estado do Kansas,
Record: In the 18th century, representatives of the 13 colonies were fighting in a revolutionary struggle for independence from Great Britain. On July 2nd of 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favour of independence, and two days later the Declaration of Independence was adopted, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson. From 1776 until the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence, with typical festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues.

My first impression of America and Americans was that they are
really patriotic. America is
considered a "salad bowl"
of different cultures that interact together and take influences one another.
And every part made their contribution on this country's growth. Given these
reasons it is really meaningful why all Americans are so
devotee to their culture: the feeling of knowing that their
roots/ ancestors helped in a country creation it makes more
than sense for you to be proud about it everyday.
A minha primeira
impressão dos Estados Unidos da América
e dos americanos foi o extremo patriotismo. A América é considerada
Kisses,
