There isn’t a better way to finish
a year than with love, delicious love… I mean food! And this was how I finished
my 2016 ‘working period’ before going on holidays.
I love good food and I must
confess that I am an unforgivable foodie! In my opinion there isn’t a bigger
pleasure in life than tasting and eating delightful food! So if you are a
foodie like me I should invite you to come along with me on a ‘food ride’!
“Food ride” is precisely the brand tagline of the restaurant “A Bicicleta” at Novotel Lisbon, where I went to in one of the last days of December
with a friend of mine.
Não
há melhor forma de terminar um ano sem ser com amor, delicioso amor… ahah, eu
quero dizer comida! E assim foi como terminei o perÃodo de trabalho do ano de
2016, antes de partir para férias.
Eu
adoro boa comida e tenho que confessar que sou uma foodie imperdoável! Na minha opinião, não há maior prazer na vida
do que experimentar novos e deliciosos sabores! Se forem foodies como eu, convido-os a partirem num ‘trajeto de comida’ (food
ride) comigo!
“Food ride” é precisamente o slogan do
restaurante “A Bicicleta” do Novotel Lisboa, onde fui num dos
últimos dias de Dezembro com uma amiga.
This ride starts at the
restaurant entrance with an accueill served by the sweet Maria
Pinto Bastos, on the day I was there it was a delicious salmon tartar with pineapple
detox juice. However, everyday there is a different one. Let me know which one
you try in case you go there!
A
viagem começa na entrada do restaurante com um accueill servido pela
querida Maria Pinto Bastos, no dia em que fui até lá o accueill era um delicioso tártaro
de salmão com um sumo detox de
ananás. No entanto, todos os dias há um accueill diferente, quando forem
até lá digam-me qual experimentaram!
After the accueill it was time
to pick up a table and order! In Portugal it is very typical to eat olives and
some bread with butter before the meal, but these had the peculiarity of having
added to the bread some seeds, cereals and more olives. Appetizing!
Após
o accueill eram horas de escolher uma
mesa e fazer o pedido. Habitualmente, em Portugal as entradas são constituÃdas com
azeitonas e pão com manteiga, no entanto o pão que nos foi servido era muito
apetitoso, apresentava algumas sementes, cereais e azeitonas.
Additionally I had a Burrata Salad, a salad that is so
special that some of its ingredients come solely from Italy. This Borrata is composed
by 4 different types of tomatoes, pinions, basil, and a creamy mozzarella
cheese! The salad is prepared by chef Giuseppe
Della Monica and it couldn’t be more Italian!
Seguidamente,
foi-nos servida uma salada Burrata,
uma salada tão especial que alguns dos seus ingredientes chegam de forma regular
e exclusivamente de Itália. Composta
por 4 tipos de tomate, pinhões, manjericão e um queijo mozarela muito cremoso! A
Burrata é preparada pelo chef Giuseppe
Della Monica e não poderia ser mais italiana!
As expected, no one knows an art pieces
better than it's creator, so if you would like to try a different courses or find something that suits you better, Chef Carlos Augusto is one of the
persons you should ask to! The menu includes a fusion of flavours from all over the world, for example my journey
started with delicious flavours from
Portugal a tasty mixture between the traditional and the modern: cod-fish with fried potatoes and onion tex
mex. The flavours were very latinos:
avocado from Chile with tomatoes and the emblematic Portuguese codfish recipe.
Como
é expectável, ninguém conhece uma obra de arte melhor do que o seu criador. Se
estiverem indecisos ou quiserem experimentar um prato diferente, o chef Carlos Augusto é a pessoa mais
indicada para vos dar recomendações!
O
menu inclui uma fusão de sabores de todo
o mundo, por exemplo a minha jornada começou com deliciosos sabores de Portugal, uma deleitante mistura do moderno
com o tradicional: Bacalhau à Bás tex
mex. Uma combinação de sabores latinos: salada de tomate e abacate do Chile com a emblemática receita de
bacalhau à brás.
After it, “Al Ajillo” shrimps
with ginger and coconut sauce, a yummy meal completely worth trying!
Seguidamente,
provámos o camarão Al Ajillo com
molho de côco e gengibre, um prato delicioso a experimentar!
Not surprisingly, after eating
all those fantastic dishes there was still space for dessert! My choices: yellow chocolate mousse, with mascarpone
cheese and champagne sticks AND fruits
with vanilla cream.
Não
surpreendentemente, depois de comer estes pratos fantásticos ainda havia ‘espaço’
para sobremesa! As minhas escolhas: amarelo
de mousse de chocolate, com queijo mascarpone e palitos de champanhe E fruta com creme de baunilha.
However, the restaurant has so
many other options as you can see below. Picking up a dessert isn’t an easy
task, you better do like me and my friend: pick two (and share)!
No
entanto, o restaurante tem muitas mais opções como podem ver abaixo. Escolher
uma sobremesa não é tarefa fácil, o melhor é fazerem como eu e a minha amiga:
escolher duas (e partilhar)!
This ride includes a stop in
many flavours, but is also a trip of leisure and fun.
Esta
jornada inclui paragens em diversos sabores, mas é também uma viagem de lazer e
diversão.
This is definitely that kind
of place you should also go if you just feel like going to a nice place have a
drink at the bar, enjoy the book you are currently reading or work a little on
your computer surrounded by a relaxed and motivating atmosphere.
Este
é definitivamente um lugar para se ir ‘beber um copo’, numa atmosfera calma e
agradável, desfrutar de um livro ou até trabalhar um pouco enquanto rodeados
por um ambiente relaxante e motivador.
