"A exposição O Nosso Corpo
Ana Cordovil descobre a cidade
homenagem a Lisboa e a Sophia."

“The
exhibition Our Body and Soul Winged of Xavier
de Sousa Tavares and Ana Cordovil,
will open in (…) May 30, 2012 (today) at the Ratton
Gallery. This exhibition presents a set of tiles illustrating poems by Sophia de Mello Breyner over Lisbon and the Tejo river.”
“Ana
Cordovil in her investigative subtlety and careful seeks to dialogue with the forms
in which, over time, the light was entering Lisbon in the glass tile as the
history of tile offers a magician precipitate.
And
so it appears in this network of delicate form, this kind of structural fabric,
through which Ana shows us how the light of these elements is through Lisbon.
And

through which Ana shows us how the light of these elements is through Lisbon.
With
Xavier is another surprise. Unlike the precision with which Anna works her
project, Xavier advances by terraces and amazements. "
“About
Lisbon, Xavier Sousa Tavares, discovers the magic lights of his blues and
squirms building a free-form writing.
Ana
Cordovil discover the city on ther walls coated with glass - bright which turns color into
light - strictly geometric patterns recreated in free gestures. The dialogue
takes place between artists when they cross the actions and intentions at a
time to meet and honor of Lisbon and Sophia.”

Esta
exposição marca o regresso do artista Xavier Tavares, artista independente
This exhibition marks the return of
artist Xavier Tavares, Portuguese independent artist of hand painting
that works in the atelier of Ana Cordovil, in Lisbon. This is a very passionate
artist with a great sense of exhilaration of color. Despite missing some time the
critics say Xavier hasn’t lost his gift, but also mark his return in a memorable
tone.

No
