Daily we are bombarded with unfortunate news from all over the world, for instance the recently hijacked plane in Malta, or the Berlin horrifying terror attack, not to mention the non-ending wars! 2016 has been an intense year and this Christmas period is from far peaceful. My heart couldn’t be more upset and broken with all this tragedies… We have been battling for peace, but the problem resides precisely on the battles.

This Christmas I wish you Merry everything, carrying with me a gift box full of hope and an impossible to defeat smile!

Diariamente somos bombardeados com infelizes notícias que chegam de todo o mundo, por exemplo os sequestros no avião desviado para Malta, ou os horrendos ataques de terror em Berlim, para não falar das guerras sem fim! 2016 Tem sindo um ano intenso e esta quadra Natalícia é de longe pacífica. O meu coração não poderia estar mais partido e transtornado com estas tragédias… Temos lutado por paz, no entanto o problema reside ‘na luta’.

Este Natal desejo-vos um ‘tudo alegre’ (merry everything) e trago comigo uma caixa de presente cheia de esperança e o meu sorriso impossível de derrotar!

Since the day I met Eva Lima she became one of my style inspirations, we met recently at an opening and her presence was so strong that immediately made me curious about who she is. Googling someone is not enough, especially if that individual is somewhat related with the luxury industry, they always try to keep a low profile on the Media.

However, low profile wouldn’t be the word that I would personally use to describe Eva Lima, she is a remarkable person and wherever she goes Eva can make any jaw drop! All of this, is not a coincidence, she is the face behind one of the most luxurious and successful businesses in Lisbon, MAISON. At MAISON every employee wore white gloves and served champagne, coffee with petit fours or tea to their customers. Eva is not only the creative director, but also a highly requested stylist in this store that is passing through some transformations recently.

Fortunately, our paths have crossed regularly, for instance last Friday at the Ritz Christmas Ball, in Lisbon, where I had the opportunity to photograph her stunning outfit. She was wearing a blue monarchic velvet dress with organza sleeves, a studio MAISON design.

Desde o dia em que conheci a Eva Lima, ela tornou-se numa das minhas inspirações de estilo. Recentemente conhecemo-nos numa inauguração e a sendo a sua presença tão forte, imediatamente fiquei curiosa sobre a sua pessoa. Pesquisar alguém no Google não é suficiente, especialmente se esse alguém estiver de alguma forma relacionado com a indústria do luxo, em que os mesmos tentam acima de tudo ser discretos entre os Media.

No entanto, ‘discreta’ não é de todo a palavra que eu pessoalmente utilizaria para descrever a Eva, a sua presença e beleza marcantes fazem com que, onde quer que ela vá, qualquer queixo caia! Tudo isto não é coincidência, a Eva Lima é uma das caras por de trás de um dos negócios mais luxuosos e bem-sucedidos de Lisboa, a MAISON. Até recentemente, na MAISON todos os empregados calçavam luvas brancas, servindo champanhe, café com petit fours ou chá aos seus clientes. Na MAISON a Eva não é apenas a diretora criativa, mas também uma das stylists mais requisitadas a nível nacional. Hoje a MAISON encontra-se numa fase de transição e nós estaremos cá para descobrir que surpresas nos esperam!

Felizmente, os nossos caminhos se têm cruzado regularmente, por exemplo na semana passado no 3º Baile Ritz 2016, em Lisboa. Nessa mesma noite tive a oportunidade de fotografar o seu lindíssimo look, composto por um vestido de veludo da studio MAISON em azul monarca, com as mangas de organza.

This was the third edition of the Ritz Christmas Ball, which happened at “Salão Nobre” and counted with the popular Portuguese host Gilda Nunes de Abreu. Ritz Christmas decorations were splendid and I bet that Eva and her husband Paulo Pamplona had a blast at the dinner and gala!

O evento organizado pela Gilda Nunes de Abreu teve lugar no Salão Nobre. A decoração de Natal do hotel Ritz estava esplêndida e tenho a certeza que a Eva Lima e o seu marido Paulo Pamplona disfrutaram bastante do jantar e da gala!
