On the 6th of May, I took part took part in the Luxury and Fashion Marketing Event. Since I am an article writer at Uduni, I was invited to be part of the organisation by one of its co-founders, who happens to be the president of the Marketing Club of Nova School of Business and Economics. The main goal was to intensity the awareness and instruct the event’s attendees about the importance of the fields of Luxury and Fashion in the Portuguese market. So, the Marketing Club asked managers, entrepreneurs, teachers, bloggers, personal shoppers and students out and sent everybody back to a classroom with a blackboard and chalks (seriously, I mean it! ahaha) Since I was not on holidays yet, I could only be present at the event during the afternoon. So I skipped the following presentations that seemed (from the pictures and feedback I got) very absorbing: L’OREAL MAKE UP SESSION AND A LANCÔME PRODUCT PRESENTATION

 I already knew this barber shop due to an event organized there by João Jacinto Freitas, the author of the Gentleman’s Journal. The event was called Gentleman’s Hour with Affligem.

In February 2016, I started to support Uduni, a student-centred online platform, which operational style is similar to TripAdvisor’s. However, students make their reviews about universities, classes and teachers and also write about academic topics. In due time, I was invited to be an article writer and create compositions about my experience in the United States as a Fulbright scholarship recipient. The posts were all successful, although since I was following a different writing structure from what I have written so far on Simplicity is Chic, it was hard to keep on writing at both sides when I am a student full time and still have countless activities going on. Em Fevereiro de 2016, comecei a apoiar a UDUNI, uma plataforma online orientada para o sucesso dos estudantes universitários. A plataforma tem um funcionamento semelhante ao TripAdvisor: os alunos deixam as suas reviews sobre universidades, aulas e professores, havendo a possibilidade de escreverem posts sobre temas académicos. Na altura, fui convidada para ser escritora de artigos focados na minha experiência nos Estados Unidos, enquanto vencedora de uma bolsa Fulbright. Os artigos foram um sucesso, no entanto como estava a seguir uma estrutura de artigo diferente da que adoto no Simplicity is Chic, tornou-se árduo escrever simultaneamente para ambas as plataformas, acrescentando o facto de que sou estudante a tempo inteiro e ainda me encontro envolvida em muitas outras atividades. Fortunately, my summer Holidays started on Tuesday and I am inspired and ready to get back to writing!
